I'll tell you what's wrong with it. If Kiskunlacháza's lunatic extreme-right wants to run their town this way it is fine with me. But they should do it on their own money and not on money received from Budapest.

I think a quick look through the website alone suggests that whoever runs this town lives in a parallel universe. The mixture of local, normal apparently inoccuous news and the special place given to news from Kazakhstan borders on the surreal. Especially when the news items look as if they are culled uncritically from the Kazakh state press agency, and are especially admiring of the country's president, Nursultan Nazarbayev. There is, of course, a wonderfully delicious irony here in the far right's Kazahkstani fascination, for Nazarbayev owes his current position to his leading position in the Communist Party in the old system! Quoting press reports that are admiring of politicians today who held office under the old system is not normally something one expects from far right-wingers. But then, I suspect, logic is not their strong point .....

I'm glad you visited the website. I couldn't believe my eyes. What surprises me is that members of the liberal media didn't bother to take a good look at that site. Or if they did, they sure didn't talk about it.

The Jobbikites all seem to love Putin too. Is it love of the fuhrer principle or do they just get money from the Kremlin?
