Slow down, Eva. The article in MN was written by Anna Szabó, as you first indicated. Why then do you talk about Anna Nagy, the current govt. spokeswoman, for the rest of your note?

Another thing. At least in the online version of the column, MN thankfully does not name of the Bloomberg correspondent, of whom there are several, not just Zoltán Simon.

Éva mistake is understandable. Anyone looking through Anna Szabó's articles published in Magyar Nemzet would conclude that not even a cigarette paper could be placed between her views and those of the FIDESZ, and since May, the Prime Minister's press office. For those who can stand it - I will warn you - there is not great intellectual erudition in any of them, they are all here: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=site:www.mno.hu+Szab%C3%B3+Anna+MNo&hl=en&rlz=1T4SMSN_enGB359GB359&ei=xmt5TImHOcK94gab4bmZBg&start=10&sa=N

Unfortunately FIDESZ should be more careful. You see I've seen politicians ramp up the rhetoric against "speculators" before, and the press for "encouraging" them. I saw it in the 1992-3 currency crisis in Europe; it has been done in Greece and Spain just this year. When governments do this it normally means that they are really scared that they might actually be close to financial collapse. FIDESZ ought to think carefully before they unleash the dogs of war on journalists; I'm sure the "speculators" - who are actually keeping HUF way above its sustainable value and thus keeping mortgage payments for ordinary Hungarians down - might get the message.

Mark: "Éva mistake is understandable." The first time I wrote Szabó and then switched to Nagy and didn't notice it. I fixed it. Thank you.

Yes, one can be thankful for that but of course we know that it is Simon because he was the one who quoted Tim Ash.
