It just gets worse...

OV has opened Pandora's box, thinking he can close the lid again when he wants to.

He can't.

Not as if he had tried. He did not. Nor is he likely to.

Remember my earlier warning; soon there will be Szalasi Streets and Szalasi Squares and Szalasi Memorial Gardens all over the country. The government will wash its hands, claiming that it is a municipal matter and they have no jurisdiction.

Mutt Damon, I have a very few photos of that. I had a very hard time to explain to my kids what does this represent. "But why?" kept asking. "Kids too? " "But why?" "Could this happen to us?" I am so happy that they do not get the concept. My kids are enrolled in a very great school, and multiculturalism is a matter of fact, as well as having same gender happy parents around their friends. The concept that some people are better than others for religious or for any other reasons are from history books, and not part of their live in Canada. I can only hope and wish that at some point all the BS about the "True Magyars" are become the past history of Hungary, and those species who ever questioned basic human right and equality will be cast in cement in the House of Terror!

I'd never heard of this monument and, as we hardly ever visit Budapest, I had never come across it. But last summer my eldest daughter came to stay and we spent a few days in Budapest doing all the tourist things (and paying the tourist prices!!).

We came across these shoes quite by chance whilst walking by the Duna. At first I thought it was some sort of 'modern art' thing and was interested in it, finding the 'lost shoes' idea quite amusing.

Then I read the plaque.

I am haunted by these shoes still.

Sorry but off topic: is Orban going to require all judges to reapply for their jobs? If so, expect the judiciary to end up as independent as the Media Council...
